Five Star sale

Dutch owner Seaarland Shipping has offloaded one of its five bulkers at a decent price.

Amsterdam-based Seaarland sold the 75,000-dwt Anna (built 1999) to Five Star of India, TradeWinds understands.

Brokers put a value of $28.25m on the deal.

The price tag appears on the high side considering the younger 75,000-dwt Montrose (built 2002) recently sold at $28.9m.

Seaarland will be left with a fleet of four bulkers in the water and a further eight dry-cargo newbuildings on order.

Its mixed tanker and bulker fleet extends to 43 ships, including newbuildings.
