The privately owned company which runs ferry lines between Norway and Sweden, Denmark and Germany had an operating profit of NOK 627m ($105m) last year, up from NOK 616m in 2008.
Due to currency gains, the pre-tax profit stood at NOK 886m against a NOK 136m loss in 2008, when Color Line had currency losses. In 2008 Color Line booked NOK 200m in profits on sale of ships.
Revenues was marginally up from NOK 4.568bn to NOK 4.576bn.
The company has invested more than NOK 7.5bn in new ships, harbours and concepts between 2004 and 2008
