Maersk Line and Hapag-Lloyd have sealed a slot-swap deal to boost Med to US containership services.
The Danish and German owners said the agreement relates to their WestMed and MGX loops respectively.
The new port rotation for WestMed is: Marsaxlokk, Malta – Gioia Tauro, Italy –Livorno, Italy – Genoa, Italy – Fos sur Mer, France – Valencia, Spain – Algeciras, Spain – Newark, New Jersey, US – Norfolk , Virginia, US – Savannah , Georgia, US– Marsaxlokk, Malta.
